Delete your Haarness account
You can delete your Haarness account yourself at any time: on the web at haarness.ai, in Haarness for Android or in Haarness for iPhone. It is one account for Haarness Cloud, the phone apps, Desktop and the CLI, so deleting it in one place deletes it everywhere. It happens at once and cannot be undone.
Only want to stop paying? Cancel your plan instead: your workspaces, files and purchased credits are kept.
Delete it on the web
- Sign in at haarness.ai and open Settings → Your data.
- Under Danger zone, choose Delete account.
- Read what will be deleted. Type what the page asks for, your email address or
DELETE, and, if you use two-factor authentication, a code from your authenticator app or a recovery code. - Choose Delete account. You are signed out everywhere.
Delete it in Haarness for Android or iPhone
- Tap your avatar at the top of a page to open your profile.
- Tap Delete account, under Sign out.
- Read what will be deleted. Type what the app asks for, your email address or
DELETE, and, if you use two-factor authentication, a code. - Tap Delete account. The app signs out.
An app signed in with an API key shows no Delete account, since the account was made elsewhere: delete it on the web.
Can't sign in?
- Forgot your password: choose Continue with email on the sign-in page. Haarness emails you a sign-in link and a code, with or without a password. See Sign in with an email link or code.
- Lost your two-factor phone: choose Use a recovery code when the code is asked for.
- Still locked out: email [email protected] from your account's email address and ask us to delete your account. Deleting cannot be undone, so we first confirm that the request comes from you. Then we delete the account as above and tell you when it is done, within one month.
Before you delete
- A team you own alone: if other people belong to it, you cannot delete your account until the team has another owner. In Settings → Team, make someone else an owner, or remove the other members. The deletion screen names the team and links there. A team only you belong to is deleted with your account, and teams that others own keep going without you.
- Keep a copy: download what you need from each workspace's Files tab, or push it to its Git repository. See Keep a copy of a workspace's files. Your invoices are in Billing → Payments.
- Your plan is cancelled at once, so you are never billed again. The rest of the period you paid for ends with the account; see Refunds for when money comes back.
- Purchased credits are forfeited, unless a refund applies.

What is kept
- Invoices, payments and the credit ledger, for as long as accounting and tax law requires, then deleted. Stripe, which takes the payments, keeps its own payment records as the law requires.
- The record that your account was deleted, and the security log, only as long as needed for security, fraud prevention and legal claims.
- Copies of the emails and notifications we sent you, for 30 days.
Nobody can sign in to the deleted account again. Signing up later with the same email address starts a new, empty account.
